Paul McCartney-"My mother was a nurse and came from Fazakerley, Liverpool. My dad was born in Everton and was a cotton salesman who'd left school when he was fourteen." (Roylance,2002).
Paul McCartney (born James Paul McCartney, 18th June, 1942- ) was the vocalist and the bass player of "The Beatles". Paul grew up in a musical environment where his father played a trumpet in a jazz band. Raised in a working-class family, if he wasn't the member of The Beatles, he would have followed the same path as his father. Paul's mother, Mary, passed away when he was just 14. This tragic event bonded the friendship tighter between Paul and John who had also lost his mother at a young age.
Forming a song-writing duo, "Lennon-McCartney", with John Lennon, Paul had written songs such as "Yesterday", "Hey Jude" and "Let It Be".
After the breakup of the Beatles in 1970, Paul formed a band "Wings" with his wife Linda McCartney.
