George: "The mania ("Beatle mania) made it pretty difficult to get around, and out of convenience we decided we were not going to go into the TV studios to promote our records so much because it was too much of a hassle. We thought we'd go and make our own little films and put them on TV. "

The Beatles were the pioneers of creating music video to promote their records. “Paperback Writer” and Yellow Submarine. Ever since the Beatles stopped touring, they used short duration music videos to promote their upcoming singles to the world.
Paperback Writer (1966): Due to the hectic schedule, it was virtually impossible for The Beatles to make appearance on American pop music TV show, "The Ed Sullivan Show". Instead, they came up with an idea to create a promotional videos of their upcoming singles, "Paperback Writer" and "Rain" and send the tapes to "world tour". These were the world's first music videos.
Before The Beatles brought innovation to this field, music was only enjoyed through "listening". The Beatles completely swept away those old ideas and made music enjoyable Yellow Submarine: Yellow Submarine is an animated film based on The Beatles' hit song, "Yellow Submarine". Directed by George Dunning, it was a successful attempt to integrate cartoon film with music and created a path for next generation artists to follow.
